Salary Range: $24-30 per hour

Position Summary

The Operations Support Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the physical readiness of Appalachian Network Services' assets, fleet, facilities, warehouse, and operational resources.

This position serves as the department's primary execution resource, performing the hands‑on work necessary to maintain warehouse operations, support daily field staging activities, and ensure company equipment, vehicles, facilities, inventory, and materials remain organized, maintained, accountable, and ready to support business operations.

The Operations Support Specialist supports all departments by providing physical operational assistance, maintaining company resources, coordinating logistical activities, and helping ensure App Net's operational infrastructure remains functional and ready for use.

Primary Responsibilities Warehouse & Inventory Support
  • Organize and maintain staging areas for daily field operations, ensuring materials, equipment, tools, and project resources are properly prepared, organized, and available to support successful project execution.
  • Receive, inspect, organize, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness.
  • Support inventory counts, audits, material staging, and accountability initiatives.
  • Process product returns, RMAs, and inventory-related activities.
  • Operate forklifts, trailers, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
Asset & Equipment Support
  • Issue, recover, inspect, and organize company tools, equipment, and technology assets.
  • Support asset tracking, audits, labeling, maintenance coordination, and accountability programs.
  • Maintain accurate asset records within company systems.
  • Assist with equipment readiness, storage, and deployment activities.
Fleet Support
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and readiness checks.
  • Support preventative maintenance activities, service coordination, and fleet organization.
  • Maintain fleet records, documentation, and supporting data within company systems.
  • Transport vehicles, trailers, and equipment as needed to support company operations.
Facilities & Grounds Support
  • Perform facility inspections, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and general property upkeep.
  • Support landscaping, grounds maintenance, and workplace improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and monitor contractors performing work at company facilities.
  • Identify, document, and report facility concerns, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.
Operational Support
  • Complete deliveries, pickups, material transfers, and logistical support activities.
  • Assist with office moves, workspace setup, event preparation, and facility projects.
  • Support special projects and operational initiatives across all departments.

    Respond to urgent operational and physical support needs throughout the organization.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.

Education & Experience Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
