Inventory Control Clerk
Full‑time position in Mocksville, NC. Responsible for overseeing inventory processes, verifying receipts, managing returns, reconciling purchase orders, performing cycle counts, reporting, and fostering a positive team environment.
Essential Functions- Perform cycle counts and prepare inventory reports, including dated reports and bin analysis.
- Verify returned items against invoices, obtain vendor return authorization, and manage returns, credits, and re‑releases.
- Process vendor recall, dead stock, and quarterly return authorizations.
- Reconcile purchase orders, identify discrepancies, and resolve differences with vendors.
- Maintain accurate record‑keeping in the warehouse management system.
- Collaborate with accounting, purchasing, and other departments to ensure accurate inventory data.
- Promote a positive, team‑oriented work environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse or distribution inventory experience.
- Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly and perform typical warehouse motions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, time‑management, and basic math skills.
- Proficient with warehouse management systems; experience with VAI or similar preferred.
- Reliable self‑starter capable of working with little supervision.
- Must complete background check and drug screening.
