Warehouse Picking Clerk - Afternoon Shift

Essential Functions:

• Locate and pick merchandise from picking documents and voice pick system.
• Properly stage, check, package, and consolidate merchandise in bulk and stockless departments.
• Assist in stockless transfer processes.
• Maintain knowledge of customer needs for custom palletization and labeling; adhere to all customer requests per policy.
• Report inventory discrepancies and shortages to supervisor; research short products to maintain high fill rate.
• Complete all paperwork orderly in accordance with established procedures.
• Stage picked merchandise in the proper area, adjusting as space needs may require; report concerns to supervisor proactively.
• Perform duties in both bulk and stockless departments, including picking daily orders, checking, and loading as needed.
• Work proactively to foster a positive team‑oriented atmosphere at all times.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work environment; perform general custodial duties and follow the cleaning schedule.
• Operate all warehouse equipment efficiently and safely, reporting mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to perform all physical motions typical of an order picker, including bending, reaching, stretching, walking, pushing carts, standing or walking for long periods (often over 8 hours per shift), and lifting up to 60 lbs (or more). Ability to push/pull carts weighing 100 lbs or more repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to handle stress in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Successfully pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
