Warehouse Supervisor - 1st Shift
We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor – 1st Shift. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Materials Supervisor will lead the warehouse, receiving, and inventory control activities at the Siemens plant in Wendell, NC for 1st shift.
About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and AutomationThe EA Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels, focusing on photovoltaic inverters, medium‑voltage power distribution equipment, and automation solutions.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Maintain department staff job results through training, measuring, monitoring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
- Ensure good condition of facility/equipment through regular audit and implementation of preventative maintenance protocols and 6S’s
- Respond timely and professionally to internal customer complaints and inquiries
- Conduct short and mid-term capacity planning to align labor and equipment resources with demand
- Monitor department workflow indicators and respond to exceptions (picking, receiving, put away, materials transfers)
- Troubleshoot complex inventory and departmental errors, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Guide and manage the process of material flow within the facility to internal customers
- Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient workflow and positive working relationships among teams
- Conduct training for employees on all aspects of job performance, including safety, quality, business processes, and HR policies
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous development within the team
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
- Experience in areas such as engineering, logistics, supply chain management or other related manufacturing functions
- Experience with warehouse management systems
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
- Experience with operating and maintaining a variety of warehouse material handling equipment
- Experience with warehouse scanning equipment and applications
- Experience with SAP WM module
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain management or related discipline
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP)
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership skills

Salary: $61,547 – $105,509
