Material Handler

Our client, a leader in telecommunications infrastructure and construction, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be an essential part of the Materials / Warehouse Operations supporting field teams and project execution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

La Grange, North Carolina

Pay Range: $15-$18 Based on Experience

What's the Job?

  • Loading materials onto a flatbed trailer and strapping down properly.
  • Building pallets for equipment to be returned on
  • Loading box trucks without a loading dock
  • Unloading trash including heavy steel and equipment from returned box trucks
  • Sorting trash for scrap disposal
  • Unloading tractor trailers without a loading dock
  • This is an outdoor warehouse with no heat or ac
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, tools, and equipment against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Record all inventory transactions accurately in the company's tracking system.
  • Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and physical audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Pick, stage, and prepare materials for field crews, project sites, and regional offices.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics, or materials handling preferred.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to accurately track inventory data.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
