Primary job duties of our Shipping Associates include shipping and receiving, checking products, and inventory control. A Material Handler with a Stand-Up Reach Truck is responsible for moving, storing, and retrieving inventory at elevated heights in a warehouse using specialized narrow-aisle lifting equipment.
Core Responsibilities- Operate Reach Trucks:
Safely drive and maneuver stand-up reach trucks in tight aisles and work comfortably at elevated rack heights. - Material Movement:
Load, unload, stage, and move pallets. - Equipment Maintenance:
Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections on the reach truck (checking brakes, steering, hydraulics, and battery charging). - Warehouse Safety & Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean work area, manage shrink-wrapping or banding, and follow OSHA and facility safety guidelines.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months to 1 year of experience operating a stand-up reach truck or powered industrial truck (PIV).
- Experience with stand-up lifts and riding pallets jacks
- Flexibility with work hours, in general
- Have strong attention to detail
- Have good arithmetic (adding, subtracting, and multiplication) and English language reading skills
- Understand and follow verbal and written instruction
- Punctual with great attendance
