Vos activités principales

Le titulaire exercera, en lien avec l'économiste du bureau les activités suivantes :

• Evaluation and analysis of the impact of public policies conducted by the State in overseas territories:
  The holder of the position will participate in the design, monitoring, and implementation of the quantitative part of the evaluations conducted by the DGOM. In particular, he will be involved in:
• Writing evaluation plans for State aid regimes;
• Participating in the selection of candidates, validation of methodology, and verification of the quality of deliverables for evaluations entrusted to external providers;
• Constructing a quantitative evaluation methodology for the impact of a policy or a device, implementing it, and presenting the results in a report.
• Contribution to the development of macroeconomic models and simulation techniques:
  The holder of the position will contribute to developing tools adapted to overseas territories to shed light on the consequences of a reform on the economy or to feed forward-looking work.
• Conducting studies in the economic and fiscal fields:
  The holder of the position will be required to exploit individual economic and fiscal data to produce, using statistical methods, economic notes or estimate the budgetary consequences of fiscal measures.

Le bureau de l'évaluation des politiques publiques et de la prospective, qui appartient à la sous-direction de l'évaluation, de la prospective et de la dépense de l'Etat, conduit ou coordonne l'évaluation des politiques engagées par l'État en outre-mer ainsi que les études prospectiv es.

Outre le poste de statisticien/économètre, le bureau comprend une cheffe de bureau, un adjoint, une économiste et trois chargés de missions en évaluation et prospective.

Holder of a master's degree in statistics and econometrics, sensitized to the issue of evaluating the impact of public policies and who presents an attraction for economic modeling. Confirmed writing skills and a taste for teamwork are also indispensable.

Specificities of the position

For the realization of the evaluations, the DGOM has a research project authorized by the committee of statistical secrecy and hosted by the center of secure access to data (CASD). Access to this project requires authorization for the holder, issued by the committee of statistical secrecy, after the assumption of office.

Access to databases cannot be done remotely.

The holder exercises his missions on the basis of the usual schedule of the personnel of the central administration.
