Job Title:
Architectural Drafter
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Architectural CAD Drafter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining architectural drawings and construction documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of architectural drafting principles, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to produce accurate drawings that support project design and construction efforts.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare, revise, and maintain architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
+ Interpret design concepts, sketches, specifications, and project requirements to produce accurate technical drawings.
+ Ensure all drawings, dimensions, annotations, and project documentation are accurate and up to date.
+ Incorporate design revisions and updates into existing drawings while maintaining document control.
+ Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and other team members to support project deliverables.
+ Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project standards.
+ Organize and maintain CAD files, templates, and project documentation.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience in architectural drafting or a related field.
+ Associate Degree or Certificate in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
+ Strong proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to create and modify architectural drawings.
+ Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, construction documents, and technical specifications.
+ Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in measurements, dimensions, annotations, and drawing revisions.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Skills & Qualifications
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish.
+ Experience working in a fast-paced architectural, engineering, or construction environment.
+ Familiarity with industry drafting standards and construction documentation practices.
Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring the use of AutoCAD software to produce detailed architectural drawings. The role involves collaboration with architects, engineers, and project managers. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently as well as in a team setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carrollton, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
