Responsibilities- You will perform a variety of administrative support functions for the Board of Accountancy.
- You will respond to customer inquiries received through walk-ins, telephone calls, e-mails, and other methods providing timely and accurate responses to board licensing requirements and processes.
- You will create and maintain records, registrations and other documentation for licensees and updating applicable databases and systems.
- You will enter all revenue into applicable systems and create revenue and deposit reports, as appropriate.
- You will research, review and evaluate college and university courses and transcripts to determine compliance with requirements.
- You will perform a variety of other administrative assistance functions including opening and distributing mail, preparing certificates, initiating refund requests, preparing interstate exchange of information for licenses, and scanning documents.
- A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
- A high school diploma and four (4) years of experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of office management and general administrative functions.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with individuals.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures with licensees.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to understand and follow routine and complex instructions.
- Considerable skill in the use of office equipment, computers, and Microsoft products.
- Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.
- May require occasional work outside of normal office hours.
- May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Daily filing, data entry, telephone and computer use.
