Preconstruction Manager

A fast-growing, design-build general contractor based in North Charleston is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join its expanding team. This firm specializes in industrial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments across the East Coast and Southeast.

• Lead preconstruction efforts from early design through development
• Manage conceptual and detailed estimating for industrial, hospitality, and mixed‑use projects
• Collaborate closely with operations, field leadership, architects, and owners
• Oversee subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and scope analysis
• Develop budgets, value engineering strategies, and cost‑saving initiatives
• Participate in client presentations and support business development pursuits
• Assist in improving preconstruction processes as the project scale increases

• 5+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management within a general contractor
• Experience with ground‑up commercial construction (industrial, hospitality, or mixed‑use preferred)
• Proven ability to build budgets and manage multiple pursuits simultaneously
• Comfortable operating in a growth‑oriented environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
