Commercial Roofing Project Manager

Tecta America Carolinas, a commercial roofing contractor, provides a full range of quality roofing services, including commercial and industrial roofing, re-roofs, leak repairs, preventative maintenance, inspections, and 24/7 service. Tecta America Carolinas started as a small company in 1964 and has grown steadily. We are based in Charlotte, NC with a second office in South Carolina, enabling us to service both states and branch out to West Virginia and Tennessee.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager, Commercial Roofing for our Charleston, SC location.

• Understand the contract to ensure the Company’s responsibilities and scope of work
• Identify deviations from specifications and plans related to scope, contract, and schedule
• Generate estimates from blueprint drawings, specifications, field notes, field drawings, and actual field inspections
• Obtain necessary information such as field inspections, measurements, photographs, and sketches required to provide accurate customer pricing
• Submit proposals to customers
• Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors and property managers
• Attend/conduct weekly meetings in conjunction with project start-up, pre-bid, sales, and job progress
• Generate project budgets, submittals, equipment requirements, purchase orders, material lists, manpower requirements, lodging, and transportation
• Handle all safety issues
• Conduct pre-job safety analyses for each project
• Monitor job costs against original estimates, budgets and change orders
• Manage project closeouts and ensure warranty documents are requested and received
• Execute contracts with subcontractors
• Prepare month-end WIP reports and cost-to-complete reports

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college preferred (Construction Management)
• Minimum three (3) years of roofing or construction industry experience
• Critical skills include planning & organizing, problem identification/resolution, follow-through, priority setting, and a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks
• Strong attention to detail
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and comfortable visiting actual job sites about 50% of the time (without fear of heights)
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with associates
• Knowledge of business and management principles
• Familiarity with project management software
• Extensive knowledge of roofing materials, techniques and requirements
