Construction Project Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support a major industrial construction project in North Charleston, South Carolina. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all phases of construction, from preconstruction planning through project closeout, while ensuring safety, budget adherence, schedule execution, and quality standards are consistently met.

The Project Manager serves as the primary point of coordination between clients, subcontractors, field operations, and internal project teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working for a General Contractor and experience delivering complex industrial, manufacturing, aviation, aerospace, or large-scale commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover
• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking reports
• Create and manage preconstruction bid packages and subcontractor RFPs
• Oversee project schedules, logistics, procurement activities, and milestone planning
• Partner closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure successful project execution
• Maintain quality standards throughout all phases of construction
• Manage subcontractor relationships and project performance
• Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, and trade partners
• Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and company standards
• Mentor and supervise Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and support staff
• Coordinate project closeout activities, punch lists, turnover documentation, and warranty processes
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing and prospective clients

• Degree with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business
• If no degree, additional work exp is acceptable
• 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction
• Background in true GC work/industrial/ aerospace environment
• Experience with the following:
  Microsoft Office Suite, Pro Core, Adobe, Blue Beam, JD Edwards
