Responsibilities

This position is located outside, on the curb, checking in passengers for their flights and requires airline compliance training to be completed in a timely manner. It requires the ability and availability to work weekends and holidays.

  • This is a Curbside Check‑in Agent, also known as a Skycap, position starting at $15.00 (+ Tips).
  • Full‑time positions available.
  • Must have ability and availability to work weekends; open availability is preferred.
  • Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Must complete airline compliance training within the company‑given timeframe.
  • Shifts start very early in the morning and continue into the afternoon; 1st and 2nd shifts only.
  • Previous 1–2+ years of customer‑service experience is preferred – paid training.

A Curbside Concierge – Airline Check‑in Agent’s responsibilities include handling and securing luggage according to the Transportation Security Administration’s standards, issuing boarding passes and tagging bags, and providing general information to passengers. The role requires maintaining a positive and friendly attitude in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Work at a busy airport curbside location assisting guests by checking luggage and issuing boarding passes. This is a physically demanding job requiring on‑the‑job security training and the ability to receive all applicable airport badges.

  • Immediately and warmly greet guests as they approach the desk.
  • Assist guest with check‑in of luggage to appropriate airlines and verify flight itinerary and number of bags.
  • Input guest information for those who have not previously enrolled in the process.
  • Process check‑in of guests’ bags, including charging guests by credit card for bags as per airline requirements.
  • Weigh guests’ bags to verify appropriate weight and charge for overweight bags.
  • Appropriately tag guest luggage with destination tags.
  • Provide boarding pass, luggage claim tickets, and receipt (if applicable) to guests before they leave the desk.
  • Immediately upon accepting luggage and completing processing, secure luggage.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
  • Organize and stock the concierge desk.
  • Uphold client guest‑service guidelines and values.
  • Manage payments (credit card) received from guests.
  • Answer telephones and guest questions.
  • Perform simple addition as needed.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work early‑morning rotations.
  • At least 6 months experience in a face‑to‑face guest service position (preferred).
  • Data entry/computer experience preferred.
  • Clear communication with guests and clients.
  • Work outside in varying weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Successfully pass pre‑employment criminal background screening.
  • Pass pre‑employment drug testing.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Follow company appearance guidelines.
  • Lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Push luggage cages (empty ≈100 lbs and full).
  • Work outdoors 100% of the time, all temperatures and weather types.
  • Noise: continuous vehicle and conversation noise.
  • Stand for up to eight (8) hours at a time.
  • Lift, carry, reach, push, and pull up to 75 lbs frequently.
  • Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling.
  • Walk 50% of the shift.
Appearance Guidelines
  • Men must be clean‑shaven (except for a fully‑grown mustache, beard, or goatee).
  • No visible tattoos or body piercings; tattoos must be covered.
