Associate Professor – Community and Public Health
Anderson University and the College of Health Professions invites applications for a full-time, professional path, nine-month faculty position in the School of Allied Health as the Associate Professor of Community and Public Health.
An earned doctorate in Public Health, Community Health, Health Education from a regionally accredited institution is strongly preferred. Teaching experience in higher education is preferred. Exceptionally well-qualified candidates with a record of both teaching excellence and relevant professional experience may be considered.
We are seeking an innovative, collaborative faculty member who can lead the continued development and growth of the Community and Public Health program while advancing the mission of the College of Health Professions. The successful candidate will bring both academic expertise and practical experience to help shape the curriculum, develop professional partnerships, as well as expand student learning opportunities within the community.
Teaching responsibilities to include a range of Community and Public Health courses, provide leadership in program development and accreditation, and serve as the liaison in connecting students with community partners for field placement and networking opportunities.
The College of Health Professions fosters a collegial, mission-driven environment where faculty are encouraged to integrate Christian faith, professional expertise, and innovation in teaching. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines, contribute to strategic program growth, and actively engage with students beyond the classroom, including academic advising. The successful candidate will be expected to help prepare graduates who are both career-ready and equipped to lead with integrity within the marketplace.
