This is a full‑time on‑site role based in South Carolina, United States, for a Design Manager. The Design Manager will oversee the entire design process, including conceptualization, planning, and execution of customised isolator and containment equipment. Responsibilities include managing a team of engineers, coordinating with cross‑functional departments, and ensuring designs meet client‑specific requirements, quality standards, and timelines. The manager will also interface with customers to understand their needs and contribute to innovative product development and integration with OEM equipment.
Qualifications- Proficiency in mechanical design, CAD software such as AutoCAD or Solid Works, and familiarity with engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience in project management, team leadership, and coordinating cross‑functional teams for complex design projects
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, specifically cGMP compliance and application‑specific industrial equipment
- Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and communication skills to effectively work with clients and internal teams
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or food industries, with exposure to isolators, glove boxes, or containment systems
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related fields; professional certifications are a plus
