Position: Telecommunications Mechanic with Security Clearance
Description
* installing, configuring, and testing telecommunications systems and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and alignment with project requirements
* conducting routine diagnostics and preventive maintenance on telecommunications hardware and network infrastructure
* troubleshooting and resolving service interruptions, identifying hardware faults and correcting configurations as needed
* preparing detailed documentation of installations, repairs, and maintenance procedures for compliance and operational records
* collaborating with engineering teams to implement upgrades or modifications to telecommunications systems and networks filling this position is contingent upon funding #li-tf1 requirements
* 2-4 years of experience in a telecommunications mechanic role
* bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline
* demonstrated ability to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with dod standards and technical specifications
* proficient in interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for configuring telecommunications networks and associated hardware components
* skilled in troubleshooting connectivity issues and performing routine diagnostics using specialized tools such as network analyzers and signal testers
* possess an active dod secret security clearance desired skills
* familiarity with advanced telecommunications technologies, including voip systems and fiber-optic networks
* proficiency in using telecommunications management platforms and software for monitoring and optimizing system performance
* demonstrated experience working with secure communications protocols and equipment
