Experienced or Senior Structures Design Engineer – 787 Airframe Team

Dynamically contribute to the 787 Airframe Team as a senior structures design engineer. Provide structural and component design support across the product lifecycle.

• Develop, maintain, and modify structural and component designs using 3‑D CAD tools.
• Integrate analytical and test results to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements.
• Manage supplier development, testing, and production activities, coordinating with suppliers to optimize design.
• Develop new design processes and tools to improve quality and efficiency of development.
• Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs.
• Document and integrate structural requirements to establish system design.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials).
• 3+ years of aircraft structural design experience.
• 3+ years of experience using CAD tools.
• 1+ year of experience designing composite parts.

• Expertise using CATIA and Model‑Based Definition (MBD) for primary structure design.
• Experience designing and qualifying composite primary and secondary structures, including laminate design and ply‑drop strategies.
• Hands‑on experience with fabrication of metallic and composite structures.
• Knowledge of Part 21 and Part 25 CFR and experience interacting with Federal Regulators.
• Experience managing international projects with industry counterparts.

Competitive base pay and variable compensation, with total rewards including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time off. Pay ranges:
Experienced: $103,700–$140,300;
Senior: $126,650–$171,350.

100% onsite, 1st shift. Position is not safety sensitive and does not require a security clearance.
