Job Description- Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all EHS policies and procedures.
- Maintain conformance to IATF 16949 quality management standards.
- Maintain process procedures and documentation through creating/maintaining work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans.
- Support and implement lean manufacturing principles on and around assembly line.
- Lead actions to improve OEE, reduce cycle times, increase automation, and achieve conversion cost reduction projects (including performing time studies, line balancing, and standardizing work).
- Handle product changes relevant to the assembly line and document the product and process changes.
- Design new fixtures for assembly and testing and update the drawings in PLM.
- Develop program, tooling, and fixture standards to prove new variant/process improvements.
- Travel up to 5% domestic and for supplier visits, customer issues, training, and visiting other ZF sites.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field plus 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or an equivalent occupation.
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
- Experience leading technical projects such as cycle time reduction, head count reduction, and process improvements.
- Experience in manufacturing environments (e.g., Single Piece Flow).
- Strong knowledge of LEAN principles.
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T concepts.
- Knowledge of statistical control methods and continuous improvement.
- Problem‑solving skills with tools such as trial and error, Ishikawa diagram, 5‑Why, and Ishikawa analysis.
- Experience with FMEA and control plans.
- CAD skills, including Creo and 3D model dimensioning and print creation.
- Experience with SAP (creating and viewing BOM and cost centers).
- Basic PLC knowledge.
