Job Summary

Trane Technologies is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Tech in Greenville, SC. In this role, you will coordinate and organize production process methods and engineering activities that enable production. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes and continuous improvement activities. The position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and for developing manufacturing plans that improve operational competitiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and define manufacturing concepts and processes for new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM/DFA, FMEA, 3P, 7‑Ways and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Assume responsibility for capital planning, CER creation and approvals, capital project timing, implementation, and budgeting.
  • Lead plant VA/VE savings initiatives.
  • Ensure all equipment meets OSHA‑compliant safety regulations.
  • Drive engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews, including PFMEA, APQP, DCP, Lean tools, project management and simultaneous engineering.
  • Manage, develop and improve manufacturing standards such as machine capability, process maps, set‑ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.
Qualifications
  • Experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to quickly assess manufacturing issues related to design and tolerancing.
  • Knowledge of basic design and manufacturing datum development and its effect on manufacturing processes.
