Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Industrial Engineers (Associate or Experienced) to join the Propulsion South Carolina (PSC) team in North Charleston, SC.

The PSC Industrial Engineering team is an organization of highly skilled women and men responsible for applying industrial engineering techniques and concepts to optimize production system design, operational efficiency and after‑market services for nacelle structures including the 737

MAX inlet, 787 engine build up, and future nacelle production systems. This position is as a member of a cross‑functional Integrated Build Team on the factory floor.

A successful candidate will have a strong desire to be out in the factory, interacting with mechanics and other engineers, directly supporting the production system. In Industrial Engineering, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity. Experience in a high‑rate production environment (sub‑2hr takt time) is preferred.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate (Level
2) or Experienced (Level
3) Industrial Engineers.

• Apply industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements.
• Support, maintain and develop plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows.
• Evaluate new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
• Design, maintain and optimize the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
• Conduct work flow design and analysis.
• Assist with research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
• Develop and implement plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.
• Document product assembly instructions and standardize assembly practices.
• Prepare operations plans, including work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met.
• Support execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices. Provide production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support.
• Ensure compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial engineering or a related field.
• 2 or more years of related work experience.
• Preferred: 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a high‑rate production environment (sub‑2hr takt time).
• Experience in aerospace production.
• Experience with scheduling in Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
• Proficiency with SQL.
• Proficiency with Mini‑tab or advanced Excel.
• Must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Pay ranges:

• Associate (Level
  2): $83,300 – $112,700
• Experienced (Level
  3): $100,300 – $135,700

Position: 1st shift, located in North Charleston, South Carolina. Relocation is available for eligible candidates. Visa sponsorship is not offered.
