Equipment & Tool Engineer 2
This role supports the evaluation of program and project requirements. The engineer develops equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the production system. The position involves compiling and analyzing technical data to determine effects on product engineering design and rate estimates for equipment and tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements.
- Validate contractual performance milestones and maintain configuration control.
- Conduct reviews and prepare plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
- Conduct training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
- Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware, software, and documentation.
- Support studies for the disposition of assets.
Required Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or an equivalent non-US qualification directly related to the work statement is required. The degree must be ABET accredited.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment is necessary.
Technical
Skills:
Candidates must have at least two years of experience using Microsoft Office and office computing systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Model Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA, and PDM.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience providing product definitions and technical support to internal groups, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
