About the role Boeing is seeking a mid-level Product Security Engineer to join its Cybersecurity Lifecycle teams supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes at the North Charleston, South Carolina facility. Salary range: $128,350 to $173,650 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of risks, threats, and vulnerabilities affecting aircraft assets and production infrastructure, following established industry standards, professional guidelines, and governmental regulations to maintain security design integrity, system availability, data confidentiality, and full regulatory compliance
- Create and document security requirements while coordinating effectively with various systems stakeholders across engineering, certification, and operational teams to ensure alignment on security objectives
- Produce technical documentation and data packages in accordance with established requirements and system security engineering methodologies for both internal reference purposes and external delivery to regulatory bodies and customers
- Partner with penetration testing specialists to validate security coverage, assess potential impacts, and incorporate findings into ongoing security analysis and remediation efforts
- Collaborate with Federal Aviation Administration representatives and Engineering Unit Members to review and validate certification artifacts, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards for aircraft security compliance
- Design and implement innovative technical solutions to address emerging security challenges, demonstrating sound judgment and awareness of potential consequences both when working independently and as part of collaborative engineering teams
- Lead the development, implementation, and communication of sustainment activities that ensure ongoing product security, operational safety, and digital resiliency for connected aircraft currently in service with airline operators worldwide
- Manage configuration control and security protocols for data systems, network infrastructure, and critical resources to maintain continued product security and operational resiliency across all in-service aircraft models
- Support the integration of security considerations into the aircraft development lifecycle from initial design through certification and ongoing operational support phases
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security engineering processes, procedures, and best practices within the Product Security Engineering organization
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate security findings, recommendations, and status updates in formats appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology including Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent international qualifications directly applicable to the position responsibilities
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification processes, or product security disciplines
