Equipment & Tool Engineer 2 - 1st Shift
Location: North Charleston, South Carolina (On-site)
Role Overview
This role supports the evaluation of program and project requirements by developing moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts and designing solutions for the Production System. This position is 100% onsite in North Charleston, SC, for a 12-month assignment. Openings are available for 1st or 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the evaluation of program and project requirements, develops moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.
- Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates for equipment and tooling.
- Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
- Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
- Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
- Develops and implements moderately complex work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
- Supports studies for disposition of assets.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science degree is required in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry. The degree must be from an ABET-accredited institution.
Experience: A minimum of two years of experience working in a production or manufacturing environment is required.
Technical
Skills:
At least two years of experience using Microsoft Office and office computing systems is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Model Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA, and PDM.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience providing product definitions and technical support to groups, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Good communication skills.
