Position SummaryNationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an experienced Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer III to support the engineering, integration, testing, and sustainment of Department of Defense (DoD) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) communications systems. The successful candidate will provide RF engineering expertise to support mission-critical communications capabilities throughout the system lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Design, analyze, and evaluate radio frequency (RF) systems.
- Support RF testing, validation, and performance assessments.
- Troubleshoot communications systems and resolve technical issues.
- Perform RF engineering analyses to support system performance and reliability.
- Support the integration of DoD C4I communications capabilities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to RF engineering activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to support system implementation and sustainment.
Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Information Systems
- Mathematics
- Related Engineering discipline
When required by tasking, candidates must possess a current DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification meeting one of the following:
- Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level II;
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II; or
- Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level II.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional Radio Frequency (RF) engineering experience.
- At least 4 years supporting Department of Defense C4I systems.
- Experience with RF spectrum analysis.
- Satellite Communications (SATCOM) experience.
- Experience supporting tactical communications systems.
- Network engineering background.
