Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers. Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas. Engineering interns in Gas Power experience technically challenging assignments in the power generation industry focusing on areas such as of Systems, Analysis, Design, Quality, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test. Perform design and analysis of product lines in areas such as steam turbine, gas turbines, gas engines and generators.

• Develop and implement new design concepts and design improvements.
• You may work with the drafting team to create or update the drawings, and partner with the manufacturing team to solve problems that arise out of the complex manufacturing processes required to make these parts.

• Must have one to two semesters left prior to graduation and be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below

• Aeronautical Engineering
• Aerospace Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Material Science Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

• Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
• Must be highly self-motivated and be able to work under minimal supervision.
• An analytical approach to problem solving with a high degree of curiosity.
• Willingness and ability to learn from others.
• Willingness to make and learn from mistakes.
• Excellent organizational, written communication, and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team player.

This position is also eligible for:

• The pay for this position ranges from $1,000 weekly to 2,000 weekly based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed.
• Relocation Assistance:
  Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
• Housing Allowance:
  Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
• Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services
• GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
