Commissioning Specialist
Lead and perform commissioning activities, including QA/QC and Functional Performance Testing.
Support equipment and systems start-up, testing, and verification against design requirements.
Identify, document, and resolve system deficiencies and commissioning issues.
Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders.
Prepare commissioning documentation, reports, test results, and closeout materials.
Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
At least 4 years of progressive experience in third party Owner commissioning/validation activities such as:
Utility infrastructure, life safety, medium and low voltage electrical power systems, low voltage systems, building/facility systems/components, and facility O&M.
Working knowledge of NFPA, NETA and NICET electrical testing and code requirements.
Understanding of the Construction and Commissioning process.
Ability to understand and perform technical document reviews of NETA reports, Coordination Studies, and equipment startup forms.
Experience executing Functional Performance Testing for electrical systems.
Technical writing skills for reporting and development of testing protocols.
Industry recognized CxA commissioning certification.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years' design experience in building systems electrical design.
Experience in industrial production and manufacturing projects.
Professional engineering license.
LEED or other sustainability certification.
Basic understanding of other trade disciplines (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Client).
Familiar with cloud-based Commissioning Software (Facility Grid).
