Bond Street Real Estate Investment Trust is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our team. Bond Street REIT is a private, perpetual life NAV REIT exclusively focused on convenience retail assets in southeast markets. The firm is vertically integrated, with in-house capabilities across asset management, property management and acquisitions.

This is a full-time, in-office position with required availability from 8:30am to 5:30pm and flexibility for additional hours based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee core accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all financial activities
- Partner closely and report directly to the CFO, serving as a key contributor to financial strategy, operational execution, and decision support
- Manage general ledger activity, including bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis
- Analyze financial results at both the company and property level, identifying trends, variances, and performance drivers
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial planning
- Assist with cash flow management and financial modeling as needed
- Coordinate and support external audits, lender requests, and other third-party financial inquiries
- Ensure strong internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP compliance
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of tax-related reporting, including 1099s, K-1s, and other required filings, in collaboration with external tax advisors
- Manage vendor relationships, billing issues, and maintenance of vendor records
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives and operational goals
- Take ownership of ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Experience with App Folio or similar accounting systems preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-directed, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with REIT structures is a plus
