Location: Remote (based in South Carolina)
Schedule: Rotating shifts between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday
Job Type: Contract Position
Rate: Starting at $63.00/hour
The Clinical Engagement Services Center delivers a broad range of clinical programs designed to improve patient outcomes and support health plan performance. These services include Adherence, Diabetes Management, Fraud Waste & Abuse, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Retrospective Drug Utilization Review (RDUR), and STARS adherence. Our team is composed of clinical pharmacists, certified pharmacy technicians, and customer service representatives who collaborate to meet the operational needs of each program.
Responsibilities- Engage members telephonically and schedule pharmacist consultations for clinical programs supported by the Clinical Engagement Services Center
- Use prescription claims data to generate clinical recommendations in accordance with MTM and RDUR protocols, addressing gaps in care, high-risk medications, adherence, drug interactions, and therapeutic substitutions
- Assess medication regimens for unnecessary medications, inappropriate dosing, and potential adverse drug reactions
- Provide patient education on medications and disease states
- Document patient care notes and clinical recommendations clearly and professionally
- Stay current with emerging clinical trends and best practices
- Participate in departmental meetings to improve program effectiveness and operational processes
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures
- Meet productivity and performance standards as defined by management
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
D) - Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of South Carolina
- Strong clinical acumen and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours within the designated shift window
