Job Description: System Administrator with an understanding in working in Agile Project management and/or Development Operations environments and to support aDepartment of Defense research lab.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Designand implement computer and information networks (physical and virtual), such as local area networks (LAN/VLAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
• Configure and maintain Cisco VPN enabled network
• Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
• Serveas an administrator in an enclave leveraging various Linux/Unix based operating systems.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux/Unix servers to ensure optimal system performance, security, and reliability.
• Develop and implement scripts for automating system administration tasks, including backups, monitoring, and updates.
• Ableto work independently with limited direction and be self-motivated.
• Ableto work with other contractor teammates and customers daily.
• Ableto work closely with customers to ensure deliverables meet their expectations and arrive in a timely manner.
• Support software developers in building and integrating software solutions to requirements-based development efforts by maintaining development environment and network.
• Creating and documenting test cases to ensure functional and security requirements aremet by developer software in order to support functional and security audits.
• Attendand actively participate in team meetings.
• Apply software patches to network assets in response to vulnerability findings.

• Possess an active security clearance(Minimum Secret)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Citrixhypervisor experience (or other vmware experience),
• Networked Attached Storage (NAS) knowledge/experience
• Familiar with various Firewall configurations (iptables or similar) and experience with implementing.
• Experience in operating system administration, especially Linux (Debian, Ubuntu etc.).
• Proficiency with scripting languages, ideally Linux scripting and/or Python.
• Proficient with ACAS and SCAP
