Location:
North Charleston, SC Responsibilities:
· Manage cloud infrastructure, automate and streamline operations, and maintain deployment tools.
· Develop automated deployment pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates.
· Automate cloud operations (monitoring, scaling, backup, disaster recovery).
· Provide expertise in cloud architecture and modern infrastructure practices.
· Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC.
· Design and optimize cloud architecture for performance, cost, security, and scalability.
· Recommend cloud best practices and process improvements.
· Contribute to team objectives and support cloud migration initiatives.
· Design and implement cloud monitoring and management solutions.
· Prepare technical documentation and present architecture proposals.
· Deploy and test cloud infrastructure in development environments (CI/CD).
· Research new technologies for enterprise automation solutions.
· Investigate and resolve complex cross-application/technology issues.
· Ensure documentation is clear for diverse audiences.
· Provide feedback on internal processes and recommend improvements.
· Decompose tasks and provide status updates.
Required Qualifications:
· Secret Security Clearance (T5 investigation level)
· Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
· 5+ years of experience in a cloud engineering role
· IAT Level II certification or equivalent
· 3+ years of technical experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
· Experience in a Dev Ops role or similar overseeing complex IT infrastructure
· Experience with Ansible automation platform
· Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation, ARM Templates)
· Ability to design, deploy, and manage multi-tier cloud applications and services
· Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
· Working knowledge of Agile frameworks and Scrum
· Understanding of cloud networking, security, and cost optimization
· Strong documentation and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions)
· Configuration management and automation platforms (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
· Programming/scripting languages (Bash, Python, HTML)
· Git, Git Lab, Git Lab Pipelines, Artifactory, Confluence, Jira
· IDEs (e.g., Visual Studio Code) for Git management
· Cloud computing infrastructure (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Red Hat Open Shift)
· Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
· Microservices architecture and serverless computing
· Database administration in cloud environments
· Security best practices and compliance frameworks
· Cost optimization and Fin Ops practices
