Position: Aircraft Technician with Security Clearance
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Assembler to join our client’s team in North Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and fabricating mechanical components according to detailed schematics and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to work with various hand tools and machinery. The Mechanical Assembler will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Duties

• Assemble mechanical components based on provided schematics and specifications.

• Fabricate parts as needed, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.

• Perform electrical wiring tasks, including the installation of logic controllers.

• Utilize hand tools and machining equipment for assembly processes.

• Conduct inspections of assembled products to verify compliance with IPC 610 standards.

• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly issues and improve processes.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications

• 1 + years of proven experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.

• Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings.

• Proficient in using hand tools and basic machining equipment.

• Knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring and logic controllers.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift - only one will be selected at time of hire. Pay

• 6mo-2 yrs experience: $23.13/hr (can be any kind of mechanical/assembly/hands-on experience)

• 3yrs - 6yrs experience: $28.13/hr (must have 3 years aircraft related experience)

• 7+yrs experience: $33.75/hr (must have 7 years aircraft related experience)
