Dominion Energy South Carolina has a Gas Sales Account Manager II vacancy in N. Charleston, SC. Based on an assigned territory and business need, this position is responsible for acquisition and incremental load growth for the Residential and Commercial business channels in one or more of the following sales areas:
New Construction;
Conversions;
Natural Gas Water Heater Sales; and Natural Gas HVAC. The position will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Selling products and/or services, serving as primary contact for Builders and Developers of Residential and Commercial new construction projects;
Homeowners and Business Owners for conversion projects;
Plumbers for the Natural Gas Water Heater Sales Program; and HVAC Contractors. - Managing projects of natural gas infrastructure from inception to completion.
- Providing and ensuring excellent customer service through coordination of timely gas infrastructure installation and establishing sound business relationships and training opportunities with building and trade organizations, especially HVAC and plumbing contractors.
- Serving as the key support for the expansion of the natural gas system.
- Serving as the primary point of contact and liaison between company and customer, responding to customer requests and inquiries in a timely, accurate, and cost‑effective manner.
Minimum
Education Required:
High School/GED. Additional education or an equivalent combination of education and related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred education. Preferred disciplines:
Marketing, Business, Finance. Other disciplines may be substituted.
- 2-5 years proven sales experience (partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year).
- Strong sales skills such as presentation and negotiation skills to attain sales goals and objectives.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close a sale.
- Ability to develop, maintain and leverage relationships with builders, developers and trade allies.
- Public relations skills to represent the Company while involved with community, civic, trade associations, and local political authorities.
- Effective planning, prioritizing, and cost analysis of financial risks.
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of people professionally.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to resolve customer service issues effectively.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and critical‑thinking skills.
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding goals. - Represent company at major professional and trade association meetings.
- Complete and thorough understanding of the various components of the home building and possibly, remodeling industry.
- Complete understanding of the demographics, economics and growth opportunities within assigned sales territory.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
