We are Growing! HVAC Technician Opportunity
W.B Guimarin & Co. Inc. currently has an opportunity for Commercial HVAC TECHNICIAN in the Charleston, SC area. We are looking for energetic, technically capable, dependable and customer-focused HVAC Technicians. What You Will Do- Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
- Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.
- Join pipes or tubing to equipment and to fuel, water, or refrigerant source, to form complete circuit.
- Reassemble and test equipment following repairs.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Layout and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment, according to wiring diagrams, using electrician's hand tools.
- Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats and timers, using hand tools.
- Obtain and maintain required certifications.
- Ability to identify basic trade materials by size, shape and function.
- Able to safely use small power tools and hand tools.
- Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
- Ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of Commercial HVAC experience but will accept if only residential.
- Should have Air Cooled Chiller Experience.
- Acceptable driving record and valid South Carolina Driving License
- New Employee and Random drug testing required.
- Proficient in PC based computer systems and tablet/smart phone technology.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and details; perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools.
- Ability to work skillfully with both hands constantly; independently safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds routinely, 50 pounds frequently, and 80 pounds occasionally; climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffold.
- New Employee Fit for Duty physical required.
- $29-$40 per hour, based on experience.
