W.B Guimarin & Co. Inc. currently has an opportunity for Commercial HVAC TECHNICIAN in the Charleston, SC area. We are looking for energetic, technically capable, dependable and customer-focused HVAC Technicians. • Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
• Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.
• Join pipes or tubing to equipment and to fuel, water, or refrigerant source, to form complete circuit.
• Reassemble and test equipment following repairs.
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
• Layout and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment, according to wiring diagrams, using electrician's hand tools.
• Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats and timers, using hand tools.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications.
• Ability to identify basic trade materials by size, shape and function.
• Able to safely use small power tools and hand tools.
• Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.

• Ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of Commercial HVAC experience but will accept if only residential.
• Should have Air Cooled Chiller Experience.
• Acceptable driving record and valid South Carolina Driving License
• New Employee and Random drug testing required.
• Proficient in PC based computer systems and tablet/smart phone technology.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and details; perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools.
• Ability to work skillfully with both hands constantly; independently safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds routinely, 50 pounds frequently, and 80 pounds occasionally; climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffold.
• New Employee Fit for Duty physical required.

• $29-$40 per hour, based on experience.
