Disaster Restoration Technician

Job Description

Service Master of Charleston is a disaster restoration company that specializes in the mitigation of water, fire, and mold damages. For over 36 years, we have built a reputation for performing quality work in the Charleston market.

Applicants do not need to have experience—on‑the‑job training is provided for the right employees. We are looking for people who are on time, communicate well, enjoy customer service, and work hard until the job is done.

Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:30 pm, with many weekend and overtime opportunities. On‑call responsibilities and after‑hours work are mandatory when needed. Full‑time positions are available.

Our technicians earn $15–$25 per hour, which includes daily bonus potential, along with full health benefits, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation time, and advancement opportunities.

Ideal candidates will be dependable, have strong character traits, and maintain a great attitude. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. A criminal background check and drug screening will be performed on every applicant.

• Water pumping and extraction
• Mold remediation
• Baseboard and carpet cushion removal; carpet seam cutting
• Specialty drying (hardwood, plaster, concrete, etc.)
• Removing and disposing of debris
• Determining water category and class; moisture mapping
• Desiccant and heat equipment drying; temporary power & HVAC use in drying
• Lead and direct others in compliance with insurance company program and Third‑Party Administrator (TPA) requirements
• Cleaning after a fire; mold remediation

Job Type: Full‑time

Salary: $30,000 – $55,000

Hourly Wage: $15 – $25 (with daily bonus potential)
