Service Tech

## About the role Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled service technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of repair and maintenance skills and be able to work independently and with a crew to resolve various issues in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a hands-on professional who can deliver high-quality work and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

General Repairs:

- Perform a variety of minor repairs such as patching drywall, replacing broken tiles, and repairing doors and windows.

Carpentry:

- Perform basic carpentry tasks like installing or repairing trim, shelves, cabinets, and furniture.

Painting & Drywall:

- Prepare surfaces for painting, apply paint, and perform drywall repair.

Installation:

- Install various fixtures, including lighting, blinds, curtains, and appliances.

Preventative Maintenance:

- Conduct routine inspections of properties and perform maintenance tasks as needed.

Customer Service:

- Interact with clients to assess their needs, complete estimate forms, and ensure satisfaction with completed work.

Safety Compliance:

- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

Experience:

- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.

Skills:

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.

- Proficiency in a variety of maintenance and repair tasks.

Tools:

- Must have a reliable set of tools and the ability to work with various hand and power tools.

Physical Ability:

- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.

Communication:

- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call as needed.
