Landmarks for Families is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our Residential Services team as Part-Time Youth Mentors / Family Teachers. In this role, you will help create a safe, structured, and supportive home environment for youth while teaching life skills, building healthy relationships, and helping them achieve greater independence and success.

As a Youth Mentor / Family Teacher, you'll join a team that values collaboration, respect, professionalism, and the belief that every child deserves safety, stability, and hope.

• Provide direct supervision and support to youth in a residential setting.
• Build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Teach social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living skills using the Teaching Family Model.
• Help youth develop healthy routines through coaching, encouragement, and positive role modeling.
• Support daily household activities, including meals, chores, hygiene, homework, and recreation.
• Transport youth to school, appointments, and community activities.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
• Respond to challenging situations using trauma-informed practices and approved de-escalation techniques.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass required background screenings

Preferred:

• Experience working with youth in residential care, behavioral health, foster care, education, childcare, juvenile justice, mentoring, or other human service settings.

• Teaching Family Model
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
• CPR/First Aid
• Ongoing professional development and agency-required training

This is a part-time, non-exempt position within a 24-hour residential program. Schedules primarily include evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed. No on-call responsibilities are required.
