Software Developer, Software Engineer

responsibilities

• designing, developing, and implementing systems software solutions that meet dod specifications and performance standards
• conducting thorough testing, debugging, and performance analysis to ensure software stability and optimal functionality
• collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate systems software with broader mission-critical applications and systems
• preparing comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and maintenance reports
• supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancements and implementing best practices

• five plus years experience in a software developer role
• one plus years experience must be with communication systems, networks, or technologies
• one plus years experience must include agile software development experience
• bachelor’s degree in a related field
• demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain systems software that adheres to dod operational and security requirements
• proficient in system-level programming, utilizing languages such as c, c++, and/or java for robust software development
• skilled in debugging, performance tuning, and rigorous code testing to ensure software reliability and security
• possess an active dod secret security clearance

• familiarity with modern development frameworks and tools (e.g., git, jenkins, ci/cd pipelines) to streamline software delivery
• experience working within agile methodologies, enabling iterative development and rapid integration
• knowledge of secure coding practices and cybersecurity frameworks to enhance the resilience of systems software
• strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex system issues and recommend effective solutions
