The Senior Accountant provides accounting shared services for supporting businesses. Responsibilities include reviewing data sources for accuracy and completeness, preparing month‑end close journal entries, managing balance sheet account responsibilities, and supporting audit and tax deliverables. The role collaborates with business FP&A to ensure accurate results and meaningful variance commentary, complies with Abb Vie policies and US GAAP, and works under the direct guidance of the Manager.

• Prepare, review, and reconcile data from systems used (BIP and SAP), investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Support system maintenance, including review, issue resolution, and mapping aligned to SAP master data.
• Perform monthly upload processes and prepare journal entries for supported businesses, reviewing and preparing reports and results for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with business FP&A to ensure accurate results with meaningful variance commentary and prepare monthly results for submission to FP&A.
• Prepare and review annual federal and state tax packages and year‑end accrual components for Corporate Tax.
• Support various tax and audit requests, including documentation for internal and external audits.
• Provide accounting support and input for projects, systems, and process improvement initiatives.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and support projects as requested.

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. CPA preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 4+ years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to work independently and adjust priorities to achieve accurate and timely results.
• Proficient computer skills; SAP and Excel skills preferred.

• The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade. Individual compensation will vary with geographic location.
