This position is part of the U.S. Accounting Shared Serviced Center (SSC). The SSCis responsible forcentralizing and executing accounting processes, governance andcontrolsand delivering organizational efficiencies via centralization of common accounting processes for Corporate Admin teams. This position is responsible forfinancesupport of the CADM team, which includes support ofAbbvie

Benefits, HR, Treasury, CFO, and Controllers Group, among others. The role includes general journal entry processing and reconciliation.

This position reviews data sources for accuracy and completeness,collaborates with business functions to ensure complete andaccuratetransactions are recorded in compliance with Abb Vie policies and U.S. GAAP.The Sr Accountant works under direct guidance of the Accounting Manager on the SSC team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and process journal entries for the Corporate Admingroups. Ensure all journal entries are audit worthy.

Prepare Black Linereconciliations  for entity accounts. Work with BPO to ensure compliance with new IPE SOX standards.

Prepare balance sheet commentary on a quarterly basis

Prepare various reportingdeliverablesthroughout the yeartobusiness partners

Work with Corporate Admingroups toconsolidateand streamline non-value addedwork under the RTR FSS team umbrella.

Finance or Accounting Bachelor's and asolidunderstanding of accounting transactions, journalentryand account reconciliation fundamentals

Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

Must be self-motivated with abilityto work independently

Strong time management skillsand ableto manage tasks simultaneously

Must be proficient in Excel.

Knowledge of SAP and Blackline a plus
