Prosthetic Clerk

The Prosthetics Clerk is a member of Prosthetics and Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) located at the James A Lovell. FHCC, North Chicago, IL.

You must possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-4 level in the Federal service, that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes answering phone calls and assisting with inquiries; screening and directing patients to the appropriate staff member;

utilizing various computer programs including Microsoft applications to interpret and input data; performing word processing/typing tasks; (THIS EXPERIENCE MUST BE SUPPORTED BY YOUR RESUME TO BE CREDITABLE.)

You must have successfully completed 4 years of education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

NOTE:

One year of full-time undergraduate study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business or technical school. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS ARE REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)

You must possess equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and specialized experience to meet the total requirements for this position. For GS-5 level positions, only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
