Position Summary
The Assistant Dean of Students provides leadership to the campus community through the development, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of comprehensive programs/services in the Offices of Student Life and Student Housing, and also takes a leadership role in facilitating student conduct, student wellness, and crisis management. The successful candidate will support all students in their professional development through co-curricular offerings and advisement.
The Assistant Dean of Students will initiate programs designed to build campus environments, developmental structures, and administrative support that enhance the quality of all students' educational experience. The Assistant Dean of Students will report to the Dean of Students and collaborate with the Student Success and Wellness staff to develop an office that supports all students in each of the colleges in their pursuit of academic and professional excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Serve as a member of the Leadership Team for the Division of Student Success and Wellness, contributing to strategic planning, policy development, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate programs, services, and initiatives that support student success, professional development, academic achievement, leadership growth, wellness, and community engagement.
* Supervise professional staff responsible for the Offices of Student Life and Student Housing; provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for direct reports.
* Oversee the operation of the university's residential community, ensuring quality housing accommodations, student engagement, community standards, and well-maintained facilities that support student success and well-being.
* Lead the administration of the institution's student conduct and community standards process, including the investigation, adjudication, and resolution of alleged violations involving misconduct, professionalism, and academic integrity.
* Administer student conduct policies, procedures, professionalism standards, and educational interventions to promote accountability, ethical decision-making, restorative practices, and professional growth.
* Serve as the primary institutional resource for students, faculty, and staff regarding student conduct, professionalism expectations, behavioral concerns, and community standards.
* Partner with academic leaders, faculty, student support services, legal counsel, and other campus stakeholders to address complex student issues, conduct matters, and student success concerns.
* Serve as a Student Success and Wellness representative in Title IX, discrimination, harassment, and related student conduct investigations. Track all cases in the student conduct software database and serve as a superuser and administrator of that system.
* Monitor trends in student conduct, student engagement, and campus climate; utilize assessment data to inform prevention strategies, policy enhancements, and student development initiatives.
* Develop and manage annual operating budgets for assigned functional areas and ensure effective stewardship of institutional resources.
* Develop assessment and evaluation tools to measure program effectiveness, student learning outcomes, campus climate, and the overall impact of division services.
