Overview

Job Title: Instrument Calibration Specialist

Target Pay Range: $36.00 - $42.00/hour

Must-Have Skill Set: Hands-on instrument calibration experience (5+ years preferred)

Job Summary:

Seeking an Instrument Calibration Specialist to perform calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of laboratory and manufacturing instruments used in a regulated environment. This role supports development, validation, and GMP manufacturing by maintaining accurate, compliant, and reliable instrumentation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on calibration across multiple instrumentation types.
  • Instruments may include: pipettes, balances, temperature transmitters, pressure gauges, flow meters, humidity probes, centrifuges, and related scientific instruments.
  • Shadow and learn critical calibration processes from senior team members.
  • Provide backup coverage for high-risk or critical calibration activities.
  • Maintain calibration documentation and compliance records.
  • Support cross-training efforts within the metrology team.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in metrology or calibration of laboratory instrumentation in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Physics or technical science background is strongly preferred.
  • Broad hands-on calibration experience across multiple instrument types.
  • Proficiency in multiple disciplines including temperature, pressure, flow, humidity, volume, radiation, and electrical.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate measurement deviations and perform root cause analysis.
  • Strong ability to revise and write procedures and calibration documentation.
