Job Summary:
We are seeking a Restricted Substances Specialist to support global compliance initiatives related to chemical and environmental regulations. This role is responsible for analyzing product and component data, managing compliance documentation, and supporting regulatory programs across multiple business functions. The ideal candidate will work closely with suppliers, manufacturing teams, quality teams, and engineering organizations to ensure compliance with global restricted substances requirements.
This position requires strong analytical skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a large enterprise environment. The successful candidate will help develop processes, maintain compliance records, and support regulatory reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze component and subassembly information to assess restricted substances compliance impacts.
- Interpret regulatory requirements and support implementation of compliance processes.
- Manage assigned regulatory compliance projects and track milestones, deliverables, timelines, and risks.
- Coordinate with suppliers and third party manufacturers to obtain compliance documentation and supporting data.
- Maintain accurate regulatory records and organize compliance information within company systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to support compliance initiatives.
- Communicate project status, compliance requirements, and regulatory updates to stakeholders.
- Support development of business processes related to restricted substances management.
- Assist with regulatory reporting and documentation activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Experience supporting regulatory compliance, manufacturing, engineering, quality, or supply chain activities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience handling confidential information appropriately.
- Proficiency with ERP system and MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, Proposition 65, China MEE No. 12, or similar global regulations.
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical, medical device, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with supplier compliance programs and third party manufacturing operations.
- Experience with Arena systems.
- Knowledge of product stewardship and environmental compliance programs.
