  • Develop a balanced funding request that complies with published fiscal constraints.
  • Ensure expenditures of funds are in accordance with established regulations.
  • Develop justification statements for multi-year appropriations.
  • Recommend approval or disapproval of requests for funds.

  • Provide guidance to staff on a variety of financial management questions.
  • Coordinate various services to manage reimbursable programs.
  • Monitor funding execution using automated budgetary systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the formal accounting records.
  • Present budget estimates to the command to convey budget constraints.

  • Analyze a variety of complex budgeting policies to determine overall impact to the organization.
  • Interpret data and operational plans to understand financial needs.
  • Review financial reports for payroll appropriations.

Requirements
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has been designated as non-sensitive and requires you to possess or complete a personnel security background investigation.
  • This position requires you to possess or obtain and maintain the DoD Financial Management Certification, Certificate Level 2, within two years of hire date.

Experience:

To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Analyze quantitative data in order to recommend changes to allocations;
Identify funding deviations on spending plans to brief senior leaders;
