This role is responsible for working collaboratively with QA Labs Business Owners, Manufacturing Sites and the broader BTS organization to conceive, design, engineer, and implement data, software, and technology solutions that solve significant scientific or business problems for Quality Labs processes. A successful candidate will develop a deep understanding of lab processes to investigate, identify, and implement state-of-the-art technology platforms that drive productivity and efficiency gains in Product Release Testing, Stability Study Operations, and Lab Inventory Management for all Abb Vie QC labs.

• Conceive, design, engineer, and implement data, software, or technology solutions by studying system flows, data usage, and quality labs processes to solve problem areas or deliver business value. The candidate is expected to work effectively across IT shared services teams, manufacturing site representatives, and QA Labs stakeholders.
• Ensure data and technology roadmaps for the portfolio of labs solutions enable business objectives while optimizing total cost of ownership and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with capabilities teams and solution vendors to minimize production issues, ensure continuity of business solutions, align with architecture and technology standards, and enable the product to scale to Abb Vie requirements.
• Define data, reporting and AI strategies for Abb Vie QC Labs and outline value-based roadmaps to enable business insights and improve efficiency.
• Identify current and emerging business needs and evaluate technology solutions to balance short-term and long-term objectives. Understand both data and technology capabilities in use across Abb Vie and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems using analytical problem-solving methods and associated tools.
• Demonstrate high proficiency across technologies and platforms related to software design and development, programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data analysis and visualization tools, data storage, network connectivity, and virtualization/cloud environments.
• Be highly autonomous and productive, requiring minimal direction. Accountable for total project scope, budget, and on-time completion of tasks/projects under direct and matrix control.

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years’ experience including business analysis, project management, portfolio management, and strategic planning;
  Master’s Degree with 5 years’ experience;
  PhD with 0 years’ experience.
• Excellent analytical, judgment, and consultative capabilities and communication skills.
• Excellent communications and influencing skills with strong ability to balance stakeholder interests through sound analysis and persuasion.
• Significant experience configuring and deploying Lab Systems (LIMS, ELN, CDS, Inventory, Asset Management) and system integrations experience.
• Detailed understanding of relational databases, reporting databases; SQL skills and coding skills (e.g., Python, C#, JSON).
• Proven project leadership and team leadership skills.
