Senior Manager, Oncology Data Science, Hematology

Role Summary

The Senior Manager of Data Science & Analytics supporting hematology is responsible for developing data-driven insights to inform commercial strategy, brand planning, and operational effectiveness. This role requires hands-on data analysis and cross-functional collaboration to ensure data supports business-critical decisions for Adcetris and Elrexfio. The position manages data assets across claims, sales, and specialty pharmacy data and aligns insights with the franchise’s strategic direction.

• Data Analysis and Insights Generation:
  Develop and implement advanced analytics models (machine learning, predictive modeling, statistical analytics) to yield insights into customer behavior, market trends, and product performance. Leverage external data sources to address strategic business questions.
• Data Management and Governance:
  Steward data assets, integrate new data sources, ensure data quality, accuracy, and timeliness; collaborate with IT, Marketing, and cross-functional teams; identify and assess relevant data sources to enhance analytics capabilities.
• Targeting and Segmentation:
  Develop customer segmentation strategies using data science techniques to optimize marketing and sales targeting and resource allocation; analyze engagement opportunities to improve strategies.
• Brand Performance and Market Insights:
  Create national-level brand performance reports; support product launches with competitive intelligence and market analysis; analyze data to inform operational effectiveness and market performance; develop executive-level reports and dashboards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
  Partner with Marketing, Market Research Insights, Forecasting, Finance to integrate data insights into strategic initiatives; present analytical insights to senior leadership with clear recommendations.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  Identify opportunities to improve analytics methodologies and tools; stay current with industry trends and adopt innovative approaches to drive business outcomes.
• Vendor and Resource Management:
  Manage relationships with external vendors/data providers; coordinate budgets and allocate resources to support analytics efforts.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in data science, analytics, mathematics, biological or physical sciences, statistics, business, or related field.
• Experience:
  
  6+ years in data science/analytics/commercial operations; 5+ years in the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry; post-graduate education may substitute part of experience.

  Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

  Experience collaborating with marketing, sales, IT to integrate data insights into commercial strategies.

• Oncology Expertise:
  Experience in oncology with understanding of market dynamics and competitive trends in the space.
