PurposeThe Senior Analyst, Vendor Master Data, as part of the Finance Shared Services organization is responsible for governance and maintenance of Vendor Master data globally. The analyst will work with business requestors and various process owners to maintain proper and up-to-date information on Vendor Master as per Abb Vie data standards. This role will ensure compliance with the process within the established SLAs and adherence to established practices, procedures and policies.
Responsibilities- Knowledge and experience of the S4 SAP system with Vendor Master and PTP processes.
- As a member of the US Vendor Master Data team, collaborate with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Treasury and business users to ensure proper and authenticated vendors are onboarded and maintained.
- Verify documentation received for onboarding new vendors and updates to existing Vendor Master data.
- Have strong analytical skills in analyzing the data.
- Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
- Prepare documentation and work instructions for process improvements relating to current vendor maintenance systems such as Ariba, DSP and SAP and future applications such as Coupa Supplier Information Management.
- Support additional functions within the Vendor Master Data team.
- Address queries from business requestors in relation to Vendor Master data.
- Respond to escalation requests from business users.
- Provide strict adherence to Abb Vie processes and established SLAs for the process.
- Knowledge and experience of SAP Ariba and DSP systems is preferred.
- Experience in project management skills is preferred.
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, communication, organization and decision‑making skills.
- Good time management with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Be flexible to work in multiple time zones as needed.
- Significant Work Activities – continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8‑hour day).
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred. - 6+ years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting.
- Strong communication skills and customer support.
- Proficient Excel skills required.
- Compensation range is based on job grade; actual compensation may vary by location.
