Abb Vie Information Security isseekinga highly motivated and skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our Cyber Security Engineering (CSE) Team, helping us defend against adversaries so our business can continue making a remarkable impact on people's lives. In this dynamic, hybridon-premise and cloud-native environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the production systems used by our Security Teamsoperatesmoothly and reliably.

Collaborating closely with developers and subject matter experts, you will help automate repetitive tasks to reduce 'toil',monitorsystem performance, and maintain essential toolsets and microservices. With Git Opsat  the core of our operations, this role offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in cloud platforms, observability, and containerized applications while contributing to a vital security mission.

Responsibilities:

• System Architecture Support: Assistinmaintainingand improving systems to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
• CI/CD Pipeline Maintenance: Support the building, implementation, and iteration of CI/CD pipelines.
• Microservices Deployment: Assist with the management and deployment of microservice and containerized applications.
• Security Implementation: Help implement strong security controls across distributed systems and agents.
• Deployment Automation: Coordinate with engineers to help automate configurations and deployments across platforms.
• Observability Management: Write automation scripts and standardize alerts for established monitoring tools.
• Incident Response: Contribute to post-mortems and assist teams with root cause analysis.
• Dev Ops Promotion: Support Agile/Scrum practices and promote Dev Ops methodologies within the team.
• Hybrid Cloud Support: Assistinmaintaininghybrid cloud and containerization service offerings.
• Toolset Operations: Work alongside subject matter experts to learn toolsets and suggest day-to-day operational improvements.

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6years’ experience; or Master’s Degree with 5years’ experience; or PhD
• Foundational knowledge of Cloud Platform administration (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with or a strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Git Hub Actions, Bamboo, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops).
• Familiarity with running Docker workloads and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Amazon ECS).
• Foundational understanding of observability tools and pillars (metrics, logs, tracing).
• Comfortable working in and administering Linux and Windows environments.
• Knowledge of Agile and Dev Ops methodologies.
• A security-first mindset, treating best practices for security as a core requirement rather than an afterthought.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a group.
• A strong passion for learning new concepts quickly and adapting to a changing environment.

Preferred:

• Proficiency with development tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash, Git).
• Entry-level cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure AZ-900).
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) systems such as Terraform orGitOpspractices (ArgoCD, Helm).
• Familiarity with observability solutions (e.g.,Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of database management systems (No

• Prior hands-on experience working within an Agile team structure.
• Exposure to SPIRE/SPIFFE and authorization controls.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and distributed system concepts.
• Experience with data management and pipeline technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Hadoop).
• Basic understanding of integrating MCP servers with authorizationcontrols
