Job Description
The Sr. Global Supply Planner (GSP) is responsible for the short‑term, long‑term, and end‑to‑end (E2E) supply‑chain planning activities and controlling the flow of product globally between manufacturing sites and the distribution centers. The objective is to meet market demand and optimise inventory levels in the supply network. The role requires building strong relationships with supply sites, brand operation managers, ECM managers, Quality Assurance, Finance, Distribution, affiliates, and other stakeholders.
The GSP must understand the business, anticipate future opportunities and risks, and continuously raise the bar to ensure success for Abb Vie and assurance of supply for our patients.
Initial Outreach:
This position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers.
- Daily contact with one or more supply plants (internal and external) to coordinate the supply of finished product, bulk, active pharmaceutical ingredients or supporting materials.
- Support financial plan/long‑range planning cycles by providing required data and input to the long‑term supply strategy.
- Coordinate and process inbound and outbound shipments; support S&OE process through root‑cause analysis, problem solving, and creative thinking to drive resolution.
- Ensure SAP and JDA are kept up to date and customers are informed timely of supply updates and risks.
- Participate in plant meetings to review and improve performance; create impact with ideas for the larger organization and anticipate and respond to changes.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations; influence others through SME knowledge and enterprise view; act as a project lead when required.
- Drive continuous improvements and participate in initiatives led by colleagues; offer innovative ideas and solutions to maximise business opportunities and address challenges in the Global Supply Planner function.
- Execute financial processes including hedging, inventory reserve review, and product scrapping.
- Support artwork changes by coordinating related supply activity.
- Onboard and train new employees.
- Bachelor or Master level, preferably in engineering, science, operations, supply chain or business management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar environment.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Team player focused on improvement with a strong drive for results.

Pay Range: $84,500 – $162,000 USD
