Job DescriptionThe Electrical Maintenance Technician will maintain, service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems used in utilities and facilities areas. The role requires work on a variety of electrical equipment ranging from lighting systems to power distribution and motors.
Responsibilities- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on all commercial and industrial equipment
- Examples:
Variable Frequency Drives, Motors and Controls, Power Distribution Systems, Lighting Management Systems
- Examples:
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on a large variety of equipment, including infrared scanning and static bonding and grounding.
- Communicate status of ongoing work activities via email, voicemail, and maintenance management system (Maximo).
- Work with voltages up to 13,200, with a minimum experience of 480 volts.
- Adhere to Abb Vie’s code of conduct.
- Maintain the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
- Assist in root cause investigation and reliability‑centered maintenance analysis.
- Capable of training others on tasks.
- Proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and able to create or edit maintenance job plans.
- Fully proficient in core function, performing advanced level tasks.
- Assist cross‑functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.
- Support continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site.
- Understand and follow all safety and GMP regulations.
- HS diploma with 5+ years experience; or Relevant Certificate with 3+ years experience; or Associate’s technical degree with 1+ year experience; or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
- CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired.
- Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools).
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows).
- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
